We didn't have a romantic Valentines Day like you would see on TV but we did have a Great family day! Riley started the day with Daddy. They went and fed cows which means a stop at the Conoco for chocolate milk and donuts! She called me while they were doing chores to tell me what she had named the new baby calves! It was a very entertaining phone conversation! Then she had to talk to Kinsey on the phone. I would hold the phone up to Kinsey's ear and Riley would talk to her! It was soooo cute! Kinsey would grin and let out a little squeal!
When they got home Justin gave the girls a valentines gift to each of them. Kinsey got a stuffed puppy and Riley got a dog that sings "Lookin' for some hot stuff baby tonight" all while moving its ears and wagging its tail! This puppy goes everywhere with us!! We had to make her leave "puppy-o" in the truck during church! That would have been a sight!
Anyways, we took the girls to Joplin to the Kangaroo Gym! Riley bounced for a few hours... nonstop! She never slowed down! It was a great place! I was so mad that I forgot my camera! Kinsey had just as much fun watching all of the kiddos running around!
We ate supper at Chic Fil A. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love that place! It is extremely clean and kid friendly & the staff is always very accommodating! Anyways, they had black table cloths, candles, & a rose on every table. They also had live music and free dessert of your choice! Sounds romantic until you factor in ALL of the screaming and playing kids! It really wasn't bad! and the food was good... for fast food! I can't complain, Justin had bought me the steak the night before!
Riley was soo tired when we got home that she pretty much fell in a heap! oh- with her "puppy-o" of course!

Cookies with Nana
Riley had been asking my mom if she could make cookies with her in her new mixer that she got for Christmas. We finally picked a day. We went to my parents one evening when they got off of work! We had supper and then the cooking began.... a little late! They didn't start making cookies until almost 8 pm. That wouldn't have been a big deal if Riley hadn't sampled the brown sugar by the hand fulls!!! She was so messy after the cookie making that my mom put her in the tub!! Her jeans felt like they had been starched! I should have made her run most of the way home b/c it was after midnight when the sugar wore off and she crashed! I told Mom that next time cookie making will start at 8AM!! Maybe then we can get a good nights sleep! Oh well, she had fun and was so excited to take home some cookies to her Daddy that she had made! That's what Nannas are for!! Spoil 'em and send 'em home!!
Birthday
I had a Friday the 13th birthday! I'm 29... NOT 30!! So many people thought I was 30 this year! Justin is the old one, not me!! ha ha This year marks the first anniversary of my 29th birthday!
My parents gave me flowers on Thurs evening after gymnastics! I had to show you a pic of them because they came with the coolest vase!! I just love it! I think it'll give me an excuse to randomly buy flowers at Wal Mart to keep it full year round! I don't want to put it in the cabinet and forget about it like all of the bud vases that we all have tucked away!!
Thanks Mom!
Also, I can't leave Justin out! I have to give him credit too! He bought me a dozen roses for my b-day/Valentines day! This was a HUGE deal for him! If you know him at all you'll understand! Last year I didn't even get a card (long story! My b-day snuck up on him!?) I held it over his hear frequently! It worked! I love my roses! He also took the girls and I out to eat in Independence! Bryson and Jamie came with us! It was a tight squeeze in the truck but we managed! We also enjoyed another football cake! ha ha Riley wanted ice cream and that was the smallest ice cream cake that Wal Mart had! Thanks for going Jamie and Bryson! We had a great time!

Super bowl Sunday
Ok, so it's been a few weeks since the super bowl but I just thought I'd tell you what we did! As you can see from the pics, we were not real in to the game. To be real honest I can't even remember what two teams played now! Is that unAmerican of me?? Anyways, Bryson and Jamie came over and we had some great snack foods (Enough for way more people!) and ended up playing the wii!! I think Justin and Bryson ended up watching the last few minutes of the game. About the only thing footballish (if that's a word) that we did was eat a wonderful ice cream cake that looked like a football! (thanks Jamie)
With or without the superbowl we had a great time visiting and playing on the wii! Watching other people on the wii can be pretty entertaining! Oh - I'm pretty sure Jamie had to do some cooking in the play kitchen with Riley too!

Gymnastics!
Well, we're back in the swing of things! Riley had been missing gymnastics! We missed a few weeks of this session when the girls were sick but we're back now!
Riley loves her class! It's 45 minutes of total chaos! I think she'd stay all night if we's let her! She never wants to leave!
Nana meets us there some nights to watch Riley and hold Kinsey so that my arm doesn't fall off while I'm chasing Riley! It's a huge help when she can make it and Riley thinks it's really cool when she has an audience!
Thurs. she stopped in the middle of everything b/c she had to run over and tell Nana something. She ran off before I could say a word! I found out later that she ran over to Nana and said, "Don't make Kinsey cry, Nano!" (That's what Riley calls my Mom.... it's not a typo!) That was all she said and then it was back to front rolls and jumping!
Dog Sitting
I know I haven't updated for a while! Sorry! Things have been busy for us! I'm sure you can all relate!!
We've been dog sitting for the last week and a half! My cousins westie, Murphy, came to stay when the twins were born! Riley thought this was fantastic.... Murphy on the other hand was relieved every night when she went to bed and stopped demanding that he chase her, she chase him, play fetch, or even sit in time out with her!! I kept trying to tell Murphy that he was in for a rude awakening when he got home!!
Even Justin was a sucker for this little white fuzz ball! He convinced Justin to let him sleep with us and even got some cuddle time in the recliner with him!
The best story from the dog sitting?.....
Last Friday the girls and I got home from Parsons late in the afternoon. Riley desperately needed a nap before gymnastics. I told her to lay down. She takes her naps in the living room. Justin, Kinsey, and I went to the office to work. We shut the door but didn't latch it. Murphy was on the back porch. It finally got quiet so I assumed that Riley had given it up and fallen asleep. When I went to the living room to check on her she was no where to be found!! Murphy was MIA also! I hollered at Justin and we both ran out the back door. Riley, Murphy, and Bart were all in the backyard running around! This means that she snuck past the office, to her bedroom, put on her rubber boots (on the wrong feet), climbed the baby gate and let both dogs and herself out! I bet we stood on the back patio for 5 minutes before she saw that we had found her! (you'll see the pictures of them playing before they got caught!) My dad told me that if she's that sneaky now just think how good she'll be when she's 15 or 16!? He may have taken a few years off of my life with that comment but then I remembered that I'm sure they keep close tabs on them in the convent! ha ha
I guess that's all I have for now! Enjoy the beautiful weather!
